Back from Paradise!!!!!!

Cold dreary Monday morning greetings to all!!!!!

I’m back from Mustique and indeed that island is paradise!!!! Anytime you can get out of Central Illinois in the middle of winter and head anywhere that’s warmer (even 50 degrees), it makes the winter go a little bit faster!!!!

Here’s one more snap from Mustique and this will make most of us in colder climates think of spring and summer!

Thanks as always and I hope that you have a fantastic week!!!!!

Sunrise in Paradise!

Sunny warm tropical Caribbean Monday morning greetings to all!!!!

Some days I have a dirty thankless job. Fortunately for me, today is not one of those days!!!!!!!

Before I get too much grief for this, I’m the most blessed person that you’ll ever meet!!!!!!

This all started early last week when I got a call from a client wanting to know if I could fly down here to the Caribbean for a shoot this week. It probably took shorter than a nanosecond for me to say yes! We flew down yesterday morning leaving Peoria and the -25 below zero wind chills to arrive here in St. Vincent 12 hours later and it was actually a little warm when we got off the plane. Of course I solved the problem of being too hot with some of my favorite cold adult beverages and the world was right once again!

Here’s the morning sunrise shot, enjoy!!!!!!!

OK, now you can let me have it!!!!!! I’ll just have to live with the daggers that are coming!!!!!!!

I’m sure that I’ll have more photos to share next week, so to all my friends back home, “Stay warm”!!!!!!!!!!!!

Life Flight and the Super Bowl!!!!

Foggy Monday morning greetings!

Whenever I’m watching a big game like yesterday’s Super Bowl, I usually root for the underdog in the game. Since my beloved Chicago Bears were hopelessly out of contention to even make the playoffs, I was rooting for the underdog N.Y. Giants. All I can say about that was, “What a game”!!!!!!! Most SB’s are blowouts by halftime, but that game yesterday had me on the edge of my seat to the very end!!!!! Wow!!!!!!

On to photography! I was shooting some shots last week of the OSF Life Flight helicopter and some of the different flight nurses. We did the shoot in the hanger with a bunch of lights and really had fun coming away with a pretty dramatic shot!!!!!

Thanks as always and have a wonderful week!!!!

The World 2007

Cold Monday greetings to all!!!!!

It only took me seven months to have time to go through some of my world images from my shoot last summer. I’ve put together one of my slideshows and posted it on Youtube and on the player below to check it out.

What I wanted to do with this slideshow is give you some quick little shots to get a feel for what some of these places and the people are like. The show starts at the La Coca River in Ecuador and ends at the Great Wall of China. If you like that, you’ll also find my entire portfolio of slideshows on my Youtube page as well.

Thanks as always and I hope that you enjoy the slideshow!!!!!!!

Swimming and the Boy Scouts

Monday morning greetings to all,

Here’s a quick feel good story to get your week started off. I shot some photos last week for the Boy Scouts on a story that they are doing on this father and son. The son was going to Canada last summer for a scouting trip, but all the scouts had to be certified swimmers so that they could go swimming and canoeing. This young man didn’t know how to swim, but starting taking the classes to learn. His dad also didn’t know how swim (a fear he had since he was a young child) and was so impressed with his son learning to swim decided to take the classes as well.

Both the father and son are certified swimmers!

Have a great week as always!!!!!!!!!!
