If you’re in San Diego, California, and seeking a captivating history lesson, the Midway Museum is an absolute must-visit! During my visit, I had the pleasure of meeting Donald Mercurio, one of the numerous volunteers and docents who generously shared their wealth of knowledge about the Midway. I spent six hours there and still didn’t see everything. I need to go back for a second day! Do yourself a favor and make sure to check out the Midway Museum; you won’t be disappointed!
I was back in Altadena, California, for a photo shoot, and I stopped in to see what progress has been made from the Southern California fires that occurred in January 2025. I’m amazed at how little has been done, and that’s incredibly unfortunate for the citizens of Altadena!
As the Tucson Botanical Gardens moves forward, its leadership respects the Porter legacy and all that it embodies. Bernice Porter was committed to creating a garden that was both aesthetically beautiful and educational. She envisioned it as a community resource for learners of all ages, knowledge levels, and abilities—a center where one could learn about plants, gardening, and nature.

Additionally, we rehabilitate, adopt and/or provide a safe and loving sanctuary to those equines who need a forever home. Through education, we empower individuals to learn about Premarin and horse slaughter.
