Welcome to 2023 and I hope that last year was a good one for you and those that you love and care about!
I got back from a nice little year end trip to San Diego and was able to visit the Japanese Friendship Garden (JFG) at Balboa Park. JFG is really a tranquil spot in a city that is always moving. If you’re in San Diego, do yourself a favor and stop by Balboa Park and the Japanese Friendship Gardens.
Experience tranquility while nestled in the foothills of the Santa Rita Mountains. Equine Voices is now opening Gulliver’s Guest House to our supporters. Enjoy a beautiful, once in a lifetime experience while staying at our working ranch and sanctuary, home to 50+ horses and burros. We are located in a quiet, private desert setting on 25 acres. Relax in our 3 bedroom, 2 bath home with a fully equipped kitchen located in Amado, Arizona. Experience quiet evenings on the deck, stargazing while listening to the gentle nickers of the horses settling in for the evening.
This was a video project that our Green Valley Camera Club produced, shot and edited. Equine Voices is a non-profit horse and burro rescue facility located in Amado, Arizona. This is the story about Angelique and her rescue and rehabilitation at Equine Voices. https://equinevoices.org
The Amado Chili Cook–off – Randy & Rose Estes – Classic Car & Motorcycle Show is a popular regional event of the I-19 Corridor. Arizona families from Phoenix to Nogales have enjoyed the festivities of this fundraising effort that benefits The Amado Youth Center. With our attendance topping 1,800, “The Cook–off” has become an established Amado community tradition that works to increase tourism and economic development in this region. We are proud to have the support of Pima County Community Prevention Coalition, Amado Community Alliance, and PPEP, Inc. as the fiduciary agent. Thank you for your continued support of the Amado Youth Center Building Fund!
