Bill Phillips is running for sheriff of PIMA COUNTY here in Arizona and one of his platforms is revitalizing the Animal Cruelty Task Force. You see Bill and Equine Voices founder and president, Karen Pomroy talking about the area South of Tucson called “DogPatch”. It’s an area where a lot of illegal activities occur and animals like Angelique have been dumped and abandoned.

Gigi & Eclipse at Equine Voices in Amado, Arizona

Gigi is a mustang mare, who was rounded up in the Devil’s Garden Plateau, in Northern California. Last year Equine Voices received a call from the American Wild Horse Conservation, asking them for help to save two mustangs that if they didn’t rescue, they were going to be sent to slaughter. Equine Voices Rescue and Sanctuary is a place of healing and rescue, they don’t think twice and they never will never accept the abuse of these majestic animals.

Equine Voices recently discovered Gigi’s pregnancy, evident by her noticeably enlarged abdomen. On April 8, 2024, during an eclipse, Gigi gave birth to a beautiful foal, now named Eclipse. Both mother and foal are happily adjusting to their new home.

SpaceX Falcon 9 Rocket

Last night I was able to witness for the first time one of the SpaceX Falcon 9 rockets from all places on the back porch at the house! It’s amazing to see something like this in person and to know that Starlink satellites were being delivered to sub-orbit and the edge of space is pretty darn cool!
