Santiago, Chile

Tuesday morning greetings from South America,

I’m down here south of the Equator for a shoot this week and I’ve got one more day here in Santiago before flying over to Buenos Aries, Argentina tonight. The shoot is going well and here’s a quick snap of the city of Santiago from last night.

Thanks as always and I hope that you have a great rest of the week!!!!

Nauvoo, Il. and the LDS Temple

Cloudy Tuesday morning greetings,

I hope that you had a safe Memorial Day Weekend and survived the high gas prices!!!!  I have a feeling that a lot of Americans might not be traveling as far from home this summer with the high gas prices, and that leads to today’s photo.  I was out on the Harley (42 mpg) last week and rode down to Nauvoo, Il. along the Mississippi River. For those that haven’t been to Nauvoo, it’s a pretty neat little river town, and there is a very pretty and huge Latter Day Saints (LDS) temple there!  Here’s a quick snap of the temple and the grounds.
Thanks as always and I hope that you have a great summer!!!!!

Memorial Day Weekend and a Dodge Viper

Soon to be rainy Monday morning greetings!

I can’t believe that next weekend is the kick off to summer (Memorial Day Weekend) and I’m certainly ready for a little warmer weather!

I had the chance to shoot a new 2008 Dodge Viper in the studio last week and as you can see from the shot, it turned out pretty darn good!!! I can’t image the amount of gas that this bad boy can put away, but I’m sure it’s a pretty good amount!!!!

Thanks as always and have a great week!!!!!

Springtime in Peoria!

Sunny Monday morning greetings from Pioneer Park,

About six weeks ago, I sent out a promo with springtime photos from Memphis, Tn. and I knew that our time here in Peoria was coming for the same weather and foliage.  I didn’t think it was going to take six weeks to happen though, but it’s indeed finally here! I got this shot last week on the road from Grandview Drive down to Forrest Park Nature Center, and there was just something about all the colors from the blue of the sky to the green of the trees to the pinks of the redbuds along with the curve of the road and the yellow divider lines that I really liked!!!
Thanks as always, and I hope that you have a great week!!!!

Sometimes you just get lucky!!!!!!

Monday morning greetings to all!

I’ve got a quick snap for you from my farm shoot last week in Washington State. This shot was a “bonus“ shot and one that we wanted to get for a couple of days, but the weather wasn’t cooperating. On day three at the end of the day, the clouds broke for about a half hour or so and we were able to snag it! As you can see in the shot, the afternoon light was golden and perfect and our shot kind of reminds me of those Marlboro ads with the cowboy out in the Western U.S.
Thanks as always for checking out my snaps!!!!!

J. Buck’s

Sunny and warmer Monday morning greetings!

It sure is nice that here in Central Illinois we are start to get a littler warmer weather and spring is definitely on the way!

I was over in Bloomington, Il. on Friday afternoon shooting for Midwestern Family magazine at a new restaurant to our area, J. Bucks. For those of you that have been to St. Louis, Mo., you’re probably familiar with the Buck (Joe and Jack) broadcasting family and their restaurants. I can tell you that the food is outstanding and the beer is served just the way I like it, very cold and lot’s of it!

We did a real quick shoot and here’s one of the snaps from Friday. How’s a little Scallops wrapped in Prosciutto sound?

Have a great week as always!!!

Flickr and a walk along the Illinois River

Foggy,  but warmer Monday morning greetings to all, I got out early Saturday morning with a group of photography friends from a photo website called “Flickr”.  There are all kinds of different groups on a enormous variety of subjects on this site and one of the groups that I belong to is the Peoria group.  Here’s a link for the group  http://www.flickr.com/groups/peoria/

There were about 10 brave souls that got out on a very chilly Saturday morning and walked from the Gateway building headed North along the walking/bike path for a few hours. The challenge for me was to find that “over the top” color that I love to shoot when everything is so dull and lifeless at this time of year.  I surprised myself and found a lot more to shoot that I thought I would!  Here’s some of my snaps!
