Rafting on the Colorado River!

Sunny Las Cruces, N.M. Monday greetings to all!

I’m still out west and have been here in New Mexico visiting my folks for a few days and that’s been very nice! On my way down here the other day, I passed over the Navajo Bridge in Northern Arizona and caught a group of rafters and kayakers floating down the Colorado River! I’m sure that they might of even had a cold adult beverage or two on a hot August day!!!

Thanks again and always for checking out my snaps and I hope that you have a safe Labor Day weekend!!!!!!!

Mt. Rushmore

Monday morning Idaho greetings to all!

Over the last number of years, the last few weeks of August are very slow for me (work wise), so it’s a great time to leave town and get out and shoot some photography for me! I was over at Mt. Rushmore a couple of days ago and I hadn’t been there in 40 plus years, so I don’t remember too much of it. I have to tell you that it’s pretty darn impressive and if you haven’t seen it, you might think about making a trip out to the Black Hills of South Dakota! Here’s one of my snaps!

Thanks as always and I hope that you have an outstanding week!

Take me out to the ball game…

Monday morning Peoria greetings to all!

I was fortunate to be down in St. Louis over the weekend and took in a Cardinal ball game at beautiful Busch Stadium and it sure was fun seeing a little major league action!

Here’s one of my patented “stitch” shots (with my point and shoot camera no less) from the cheap seats!!!!!!

Thanks and I hope that you have a great week as always!

A Sioux City stitch!

Hot Peoria Monday morning greetings to all!

I was in Sioux City, Iowa last week shooting photos for a new Stoney Creek hotel and I had a new challenge and it was a bit tough. The client wanted to get a shot of the presidential suite and wanted to show the size of the room. She asked if I could do one of my patented “stitch” shots (a series of photos that the computer assembles to make one large panoramic shot) and after thinking about it, I gave it a try. The challenge for me is that I’m normally doing these “stitch” shots outside or in a room at night that’s already “lit”. The other challenge was the fact that I only had four lights to supplement the lighting already there!

Here’s my snap and I’m pretty darn happy with it!

Thanks as always for checking out my work and I hope that you have an outstanding week!

Omaha Nebraska

Sunny Omaha Monday morning greetings to all!

I’ve been on a real tear for the last two and a half months with work and that’s been great! One of the things that I haven’t had time to do since early May is get out and shoot some shots for myself! It’s something that helps recharge my creativity and keeps me going! I’ve got a shoot this week in Souix City, Ia. at a new Stoney Creek hotel that’s just opened and I decided to leave a day early and shoot some stuff for me!

Here’s my shot of the city of Omaha, Ne. and they’ve got this very cool pedestrian bridge that leads from Omaha across the Missouri River to Council Bluffs, Ia. The Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge snakes across the river in an “S” shape!
Thanks as always and have a great week!!!
