Monday morning Peoria greetings to one and all!!!
At this time of the year I love to get out and shoot some football, be it high school or some of our small local colleges. One of the things that I won’t do though is to go shoot a game at night. The lighting isn’t all that great at most local stadiums. so the images aren’t ever as good as I would like.
This past Friday we had some pretty good storms that rolled through Central Illinois, so a number of the high school football games were postponed to Saturday afternoon and that’s a green light for me to shoot! The day started out with the clouds all socked in and at some point I was thinking that I wouldn’t go, but the clouds started to roll out of the area in the early afternoon and I was good to go! The game pitted Washington High School against long time rival Metamora High School, so you knew it would be a good game. The weather was perfect by kick-off and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky, so I was really happy! The game started off slow from an action stand point for photography, but then things got heated up and there were some good images that started to happen!
Here’s one of my images from the Washington / Metamora game.
Let’s all have a great week to come and thanks for checking out our work!!!
