Monday morning Peoria greetings to one and all!
I always talk about how in this business things can change at the drop of a hat and you just never know what’s going to happen next. Jan and I had talked about going to New Orleans for a few days and then over to Southern Florida for a gig. A few days before we decided to go, the gig in Southern Florida was being postponed and the weather wasn’t going to be all that nice in New Orleans with rain most of the week. So at that point we were looking for a plan B and as luck would have it, the weather out East was going to be a lot nicer then down South, so we changed a few reservations and pointed the car East!
One of our first spots was the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee. To me it’s always a wonderful drive going from Gatlinburg, Tn. over the Smokies to Cherokee, Nc. At this time of the year, there’s not a lot of foliage on the trees yet since it’s a little early for that, so you’ve got to look for some things to shoot a little harder than you normally might! Jan got a great shot of one of the creeks with a little waterfall and I snapped a shot of the Pink Motel in Cherokee. All and all we had a very fun day and it makes me want to get back out on the road again and shoot more photos!
Here’s our two shots from the Smokey Mountains!
We both hope that you have a wonderful week to come and thanks as always for checking out our work!
