Snowy (what?) Peoria Monday morning greetings to all!
I think that I can safely speak for 99% of my fellow Central Illinoisans on the subject of snow in April, we don’t want it! It’s time for spring, no more snow! I’ve got a Harley to ride!!!!
It’s going to be a short week for most people with Easter this coming Sunday. In the spirt of Easter, I’m sharing a photo that I took a couple of weeks ago when I was traveling down to New Mexico. About 40 or so miles east of Amarillo, Texas is the small city of Groom. If you’re driving on Interstate 40, you’ll start to see this cross off in the distance (20 miles). As you get closer, you’ll start to realize that this cross is pretty massive (It’s a 19 story cross). I’ve driven by here a number of times and always wanted to stop and shoot some shots, but it was never the right time of day. On my last trip, I lucked out and was able to grab a couple of snaps at sundown. Here’s my snap of the 19 story high cross at Groom, Tx.
